Good morning, A1 Parents!

Today in class, our A1 students completed a comprehensive review in preparation for tomorrow’s Unit Test. We used our study notes and PPT slides to review key content, vocabulary, and sample question formats students may encounter on the test.

To help your child feel confident and prepared, please take some time this evening to review the materials together. I also recommend reviewing pages 50–51 in the Communication Book for additional practice and reinforcement.

A Few Study Tips

  • Review all vocabulary words and their meanings.
  • Practice understanding words through context clues.
  • Review important story details and comprehension questions.
  • Look carefully at the different question formats we practiced in class.
  • Encourage your child to read each question carefully before choosing an answer; then, double-check the answers by reading the question or statement with their answer choice to see whether it makes sense.Study Guide and Review for Out of My Mind Unit Test

Week 3 Out of My Mind

As  A1 students begin  Week 3 of  Out of My Mind , their primary focus will be  the My View Literacy Book (the big book) . Students will work on reading and understanding the concepts presented on each page, with an emphasis on story comprehension and identifying the key elements of fiction writing . This week’s vocabulary words are taken directly from the story. To support students’ understanding, they will use a visual vocabulary study guide that presents each word in a simple and accessible way, helping them connect the vocabulary to the story and its context. Our Unit Test will be on Friday, September 18th . To help students prepare, I will provide a study guide along with additional supplemental materials as homework throughout the week and review activities .
